Have you been wondering what’s all the fuss about the innovative TurboMax™ engine? This efficient engine is a lot more powerful than you may think. Shea Chevrolet is outlining the specs of this engine and letting you know which Chevy models have one under the hood.
TurboMax™ Engine Overview
The TurboMax™ engine is a high-output 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine. The turbocharged engine is found in two Chevy trucks – the midsize Chevy Colorado and the full-size Chevy Silverado 1500. It’s thoughtfully designed to be durable and reduce engine noise. It’s also more fuel-efficient than many other engine options, particularly a V6 or V8 engine.
2025 Chevy Silverado 1500
Many 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 models come standard with a TurboMax™ engine, including the WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, and LT Trail Boss models. This way, you can get its exciting and efficient power without an added cost. They feature Active Fuel Management™ and Automatic Stop/Smart, which helps to enhance its efficiency. It also boasts impressive power, including 310 horsepower and a best-in-class 430 lb-ft of standard torque.
2025 Chevy Colorado
The 2025 Chevy Colorado also comes standard with the TurboMax™ engine, which is a first for the midsize pickup truck. In fact, it’s now the only engine option available for the Chevy Colorado. With the TurboMax™ engine, you’ll experience an enticing 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, that also gives the truck an unsurpassed-in-class 7,700-lb maximum available towing capacity.
